Βοιωτία, Boiotia, Lat. Beotia) - a h istorical region in the middle of ancient Greece between the Gulf of Corinth and the straits Eubejską and Ewripos. Currently, Boe otia (Viotia) is a prefecture in Greece in the administrative reg ion of Central Greece, with its capital in Liwadii. It borders of Attica nomarchiami West and East Attica (Attica region) and the prefectures and Phocis Ftiotyda (central Greece).
